Privacy, terms and refunds.
Company content — your business profile, owners, employees, locations, obligations, documents and history — is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your password before it is stored or synced. Hora stores only this ciphertext (so your other devices and the web app can open it) and cannot decrypt it; your password never reaches Hora. If you turn on Hora AI, the question you ask and a summary of your company (without people's names or tax IDs) are sent to OpenAI through Hora's server and are not stored by Hora.
What Hora does collect: your account email, an authentication salt and 2FA status; subscription and billing status (payments handled by our reseller Paddle.com, the merchant of record); reminder titles and dates only if you enable email reminders; support messages you send (only what you type into the form — never your vault); and standard technical logs. We do not sell personal data, do not use it for third-party targeting, and do not use customer data to train AI models. Vendors operate under data processing agreements and are listed on the Privacy by architecture page.
You can export an encrypted backup or delete all data on your device at any time from Settings; deleting your account removes the account and billing records we hold. Security incidents affecting account data are disclosed to affected users without undue delay. Questions: privacy@horahq.com.
Who provides Hora. Hora is operated by its owner, a sole proprietor registered in Ukraine. Contact: support@horahq.com.
Hora provides information and tools to help you manage compliance obligations. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Requirements are drawn from a reviewed rule base and are illustrative until confirmed against your specific circumstances.
Plans. Plans are paid in advance for a month or a year and do not renew automatically — nothing is charged unless you buy or renew. When a plan ends, your data stays readable and exportable. Filing services and government fees, where offered, are priced separately and shown before you confirm.
All documents prepared by Hora are in English. You are responsible for reviewing documents before submission unless you have engaged Hora to file on your behalf.
Documents you sign. Hora prepares drafts from the information you enter. You review every value, decide whether to sign, and you sign, submit and keep each document yourself; you remain responsible for its accuracy and for meeting each deadline. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hora and its owner are not liable for documents you sign, submit or rely on, or for penalties, interest, fees or losses arising from them.
Limit of liability. To the extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim relating to Hora is limited to the amount you paid for Hora in the 12 months before the claim, and Hora is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Business use. Hora is offered to businesses for business purposes, not to consumers for personal use.
Payments. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Who may use Hora. You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for your business. Hora may not be used by, for or from a country or region under comprehensive sanctions (including Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Syria and the occupied territories of Ukraine), or by anyone on a sanctions list.
Your password and your data. Your company data is encrypted with a key only you hold, so Hora cannot read it — and cannot restore it. If you lose both your password and your recovery kit, the data cannot be recovered by anyone. Keep the recovery kit and regular exports; you are responsible for the information you enter and for keeping your sign-in secure.
As is. Hora is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep the rules current and the service running, but do not promise that it is error-free, uninterrupted, or that it lists every requirement that applies to your business. Always check the official source linked to each requirement before you act.
Your responsibility to us. You agree to cover reasonable costs of claims brought against Hora by others because of your misuse of Hora or the documents you sign or file.
Changes and ending. We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the app or by email at least 14 days before they apply. You may stop using Hora at any time. If we discontinue Hora, you keep access to export your data for at least 30 days and receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid time you could not use.
14-day money-back. If Hora is not right for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of buying a plan and you get the full amount back — no questions asked. Reply to your Paddle receipt, use the link in it, or write to support@horahq.com.
After 14 days. Plans are prepaid and never renew automatically, so there is nothing to cancel. The unused part of a period is not refunded, except where the law requires it or if we discontinue Hora.
How refunds are paid. Paddle.com, our merchant of record, returns the money to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days, together with any sales tax or VAT it collected. Your plan ends when the refund is issued; your data stays readable and exportable.
